Eye's of the World

Yo, yo! Slept some insane amount of hours yesterday (apparently I was exhausted). Been having wicked allergy issues, so I am trying to only drink water ~sorry beer I still love you :( ~
and flush my system so I don't get more sick. It is hard w asthma to just get a cold, or just have allergies sometimes. Am also trying to not smoke as much. It is so hard. Sucks. Saturday Brian and I went to a friend's in Keene for a bbq, and then walked thru town. It was the Pumpkin Festival. We walked down main st and headed into 21 w a bunch of people for a couple beers. Then Brian and I went to his friend;s to play poker. I get way too bored w it so I end up betting all my chips so I can do something else (this time it was to play w Ben's pigs). Sunday Brian and Josh and Ben carved pumpkins. Isabella had to have a pirate so she traced the pattern, and poor Josh sat outside for a looooooong time trying to make it just right for her. Ha, ha. I don't enjoy carving pumpkins. They are too cold, and I get frustrated, and it make my fingers get all pruney. Yucky. I do like the seeds though. Tasty little suckers. Adrienne, when are we going? Carpooling? Kris hope Hawaii is treating you well Mahalo and Aloha to you!

They are all reasons to me

Yo kids.
I wanted to quickly ask you all to consider calling your senators to ask them to cosponsor the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (S.195). Last year alone 90,000+ horses were slaughtered (here and exported to Canada and Mexico) for human consumption! If this disgusts you please act. NH Senators #'s Senator Judd Gregg (202-224-3324) & Senator John Sununu (202-224-2841). The US House voted to end the slaughter and now it has to be passed thru the Senate. Go to HSUS for further info. I become increasingly aware of our power to help make decisions over the past year on behalf of animals, and any law to help them live better lives has my vote. I know that these things can be controversial so I urge you to view both sides, but please contribute!

Hit me like a tom

Yo. Got real drunk on Friday and ended up braking a finger. Poor Brian. Saturday I met a dog named Nugget that I love love love. I also got to play w Brian's cousin's dog Sadie. She is awesome at fetch, and she will actually put the ball back in your hand. Work is being a bitch once again. I have to do my work twice until I am able to reconfigure some products which sucks. Hate to do the same thing twice. Kat has an exam tomorrow for Art History. Wish her luck. I am sure she will do fine. Made apple crisp tonight. So not much new, will talk more later. Kisses, love and all the good stuff to all of you.

Don't kiss and don't tell..............

Yo dudes. I took Friday thru Monday off. Was nice to not have to work for a bit. Weekend was fun with the boy. Got a surprise visit from Ado, which was soooooooooooo fun. Ado come anytime, seriosuly. Came in today to move my stuff yet again to a new desk. Am hanging out in Marketing now (even though I work for Merchandising) whatev. Had to leave at 11 to get a flu shot. Ouch dude. So I found out today thru my IT man that we (me inparticular) are being watched now for our e-mails. Well, they set up the software to watch us, but no one is actually checking it. I was e-mailing w a friend in Tahoe, and the subject line changed to Suspect. She noticed it and asked her IT guy, who said it was coming from my end, and that it probably had to do w the fact that there were swears in the e-mail. Happened again today, after I said lame ass. So my guy told me about it, and it picks up on sex words (ha, ha!) and swears and flags them. I guess there is a report that can be pulled or something, so that some high up person can look at it and come snap your pee pee over it. The guy told me I could prob make the top ten. I can pic myself getting an award for it at a company dinner, and thanking all the people who piss me off for it. Iwould say and w/out those people this would not be possible. Such a fun thought. Like a grammy only better. I guess it goes to show that Brian wasn't kidding when he told me I could make a trucker blush w my mouth. Am making a chicken in the Set it and Forget it. Oh yeah, I def bought one when I was up at 2 am a while back. It is seriously a good investment.

Whatta Man

Here is my pup. He is my best friend. I got him from a rescue group thru petfinder. He was found on the streets of Puerto Rico. Rhonda, was saint who was rescuing dogs, and with a full car of them on her way to the vets, little Oliver walked out onto the road and looked at her. She didn't have any room for him in her car so she kept driving. Not long after she turned her car around and went back for him. She scooped him up and placed him in her lap. He nibbled on her hand (prob trying to kiss her but he has a HUGE overbite due to a collar being put on him when he was a pup so his top jaw is much bigger than his bottom one). At the shelter he was made to eat soft food (due to his dental situation) however they caught him eating another dogs dry food, and realized that he was fine w it. A lady in Jaffrey (who works FT and has 4 kids) was working to place these pups into good homes. I contacted her to tell her how badly I wanted this little one to be part of my family. She agreed that Franz and I were the right people for him after going thru at least 20 applications. We went to her house to meet him, and fell in love. She was amazing. Told us that we could take our time to decide. They want to match you with the right dog for your personality and living situation. And if you don't match they inform you of other dogs, so it isn't like this is it, you take him or else which is very important, but not a practice generally followed. We ended up taking him home a few days later. Our vet estimated that he was 6 months to a year old. He had hair on his back, and head, but not much anywhere else. They told us that he had so much damage to his skin that it was possible that he wouldn't grow any hair back in the bald places. We didn't care. He was such a delight. Very gracious, and happy all the time. Turns out the little fucker not only grew ALL his hair back, I have to get him groomed (ie shaved) every couple months. We have had him for three years this month, and he is everything to me. Franz and I are not together anymore, but he stays with him whenever he wants. Ta da! Oliver

I'm accustomed to a smoother ride

So need to get over my poor mood. Talked to Franz. Not sure if you all know but the girl he is dating just lost her father to a tragic motorcycle accident. Definitely feel bad for Franz thinking he has to deal with that again. Can picture him in the ER w me. Talked w him tonight, and they are doing okay, considering. Am having sad feelings as I am coming up on my Dad's 2nd anniversary. Sometimes I lay in bed and think to myself, he isn't here. He isn't coming back. To actually roll it around and make it real in my thoughts is so weird. I think I learned to ignore it in a way. I remember thinking that he was just on a trip, and telling myself in some aspect that it wasn't real. And I have guilt for being at Mom's every Sunday with the whole fam, so we can have together time, because I think you ass, why didn't you do this when Dad was here. I know that your perspective changes when things happen, but I have so much guilt. I think of things I wanted, like when I used to think about marriage, I always wondered what I would dance w him to. And when I heard Paul Simon do Father and Daughter, I knew that was the one. So sorry to be so depressing! Am happy just feeling him, and not having him makes it a little hard.

Get yer dukes up now................

Yo. So I am totally, completely dissapointed in my new job. I hate feeling complacent in my work, and I hate doing monotonous, data entry (which I found myself doing today). Have an itch to walk up to the HR VP and say you know what ? F off! I have to make a list of things that make me happy to ground myself a bit..................
1. Oliver (duh)
2. Brian (when is the last time I felt so cared for, and so happy about a guy?!)
3. American Apparel underwear
4. Chelsey's message (she spoke in a Jersey accent for like five minutes!)
5. It will be 80 degrees Wednesday
